Nolan's restaurants are best known for its superb chicken fried steak and first rate poor boy sandwiches.
Fried crispy golden brown on the outside and moist and tender on the inside, this entrée is delicious.
The chicken fried steak comes in two sizes: single or double, and it is served with a house salad and a choice of potato or vegetable.
Poor boy sandwich selections are numerous.
Bite into the barbecue poor boy made with sliced brisket and sausage, the grilled chicken poor boy or the shrimp poor boy created with hand-breaded shrimp served on French bread.
Additional poor boy sandwiches include the country boy, the big city boy and Nolan's famous poor boy: ham, salami, corned beef, Swiss and American cheeses served on French bread.
Nolan's has daily entrée specials such as momma's meat loaf, marinated ribeye steak or blackened red fish. Most entrees come with a selections of sides including baked Idaho potato, corn on the cob, fried okra or green beans.
Additional meal options include steak, seafood, salads and pit barbecue. A chef salad created with fresh crispy greens topped with ham, salami, Swiss and American cheese, egg and tomatoes is a welcomed treat on a hot day. The grilled salmon fillet is a tasty and healthy choice while the cheeseburger steak stuffed with onions and jalapenos will satisfy the hungriest of appetites.
Luscious desserts are made in house at Nolan's. Enjoy slices of the thick and rich chocolate cake.

"If you are looking for Southern comfort food, this is your place in Corpus. We had the chicken fried steak, which is award-winning here and I can definitely see why! Awesome crispy breading, perfectly cooked. The green beans are flavored with ham, and the mashed potatoes remind me of how my parents cooked them. Delicious :)"

"Ate here for the first time today and it was delicious!!! Fast service, clean, refreshing and a home style atmosphere I highly recommend it and will definitely be back. I ate the chicken fried steak (amazing flaky crust with great tasting gravy)with homemade mash potatoes(lituraly fresh mashed potatoes) and broccoli (fresh fully cooked) I also was able to taste the potato soup that makes my mouth water just thinking of it and the croutons with cheese were so amazing just like the roll that came with my dinner, bread toasted homemade and FRESH!!! Great place to eat with the family very reasonable priced as well!! 5 star rating for sure!!!"
